This email will explain the nomination\/selection process and will include an online parent\/guardian nomination form to submit if your student is interested.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"district-thin-rounded-leaf-heading\">Nominating a Student<\/h2>\n<p>If you would like to nominate your student, complete the online\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/BUw7faaV6NuJuzRM8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/forms.gle\/BUw7faaV6NuJuzRM8&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708184448957000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3fbZlgb-97ruSvIY_zBi-A\">Parent Nomination\/Evaluation Form<\/a>, which will be open from February 27, 2025, until March 13, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Forms must be submitted online or to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/wMtDf67D87x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/wMtDf67D87x&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1708184448957000&amp;usg=AOvVaw30eUOO-G2DoKKZd-DmwbbF\">Goodwillie Environmental School, 8400 2 Mile NE, Ada, MI 49301<\/a>,\u00a0by\u00a0<i><b>Friday<\/b><\/i>, March 13, 2025.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#d8d8d8;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#f2f2f2;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\">\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>GES Student Interview Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>To be determined<\/em><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"district-thin-rounded-leaf-heading\">How are students selected?<\/h2>\n<p>Students are selected using the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student must be entering 5th Grade<\/li>\n<li>Parent Nomination\/Evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Teacher Evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Student Self-Evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Student Interview<\/li>\n<li>Student Ecological Survey<\/li>\n<li>Students scoring 80 percent or higher will be placed in a lottery and 52 names will be drawn from this pool to make up the incoming 5th grade class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"district-thin-rounded-leaf-heading\">Selection Letters<\/h2>\n<p>The Goodwillie selection letters will be mailed to families in June.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"district-thin-rounded-leaf-heading\">Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>To be eligible for admission, students must be enrolled in FHPS by the end of the first semester of 4th grade.<\/p>\n<p>As GES is a district-wide magnet school, at the end of the two-year program, students will return to the middle school that corresponds with the current elementary school they are attending.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"district-thin-rounded-leaf-heading\">Questions?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fhps.net\/5-6-buildings\/goodwillie\/\">Please read through our FAQ\u2019s<\/a>, and if you have any further questions, please call Goodwillie at (616) 493-8633.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General Information An email will be sent in late February\/early March to all fourth-grade families in the Forest Hills Public Schools.
